Fingerpicking Practice Tips
- 1. Start Slow: Begin all patterns at very slow tempos to build accuracy and muscle memory before increasing speed.
- 2. Separate Hands: Practice left-hand chord changes and right-hand patterns separately before combining them.
- 3. Focus on Independence: Work on bass-melody independence daily. The thumb should be completely independent of the fingers.
- 4. Use a Metronome: Even with rubato pieces, practice with a metronome to develop solid internal timing.
